Until July 16, 2017 – in the apartment of the Doge’s Palace Doge in Genoa, it is to illustrate the creative path of Amedeo Modigliani addressing the main components of its short and fruitful career. Through thirty paintings from major museums such as the Musée de l’Orangerie and the Koninklijk Museum Musée National Picasso in Paris, voor Schone Kunsten, Antwerp, the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, the Pinacoteca di Brera and prestigious European and American collections in addition to as many drawings, it is intended to emphasize the great value of his research in that atmosphere unique arisen in the Paris of the early twentieth century.
In the exhibition at Palazzo Ducale, organized and produced by Palazzo Ducale Foundation for Culture and MondoMostre Skira, special attention is paid to ‘central aspect of his research, or his predilection for the portrait. There are many paintings that Modigliani devoted to occasional models but also to friends and fellow adventurers, also protagonists of Parisian cultural life of the century, between Montmartre and Montparnasse.

The exhibition turns its attention to Modigliani Nude enough and the sensual Reclining Nude, 1918 to witness the amazing erotic charge combined with an equally strong introspective ability, and works of full maturity, of intense realism, which give off a strong sensuality and who at the time as mentioned provoked a stir.
